The Crags of Tel'naeír

The Crags of Tel'naeír were rocky bluffs above Ellesméra. It was the home of Oromis and Glaedr, located only a few miles north of the cliff where they lived. Eragon and Saphira came to the Crags daily to be instructed in magic, flying, combat, and more. Arya also raised her dragon Fírnen here. Oromis's hut is located on the brink of the Crags of Tel'naeír, on the edge of a cliff just before a wall of exposed stone crumbled back into the earth. A bare path leads from the edge of the precipice to the doorstep of a low hut grown from the trunks of four trees.

Now, however, the Crags are inhabited by a new Rider, one entrusted to this place by Eragon himself, to watch over and teach new Riders in Alagaësia until they are ready to join Eragon in the East. This Rider is unknown to most.
